I found myself looking in the thesaurus searching for adjectives of excellence and admiration to explain how EXTRAordinary Tamra and Dave are and actually words can't explain how phenomenal this puppy power couple are.
This is the 4th sit Tamra and Dave have had with Roo and they are literally like her second mama and papa. The love, care, attention, professionalism, reliability, versatility and devotion they have for taking care of animals and homes is literally off the charts.
The updates, photos and videos just kept streaming while I was away this time for a long 5 week stint and it made being away from Roo that much softer. They even had new found dog parent friends throw a farewell pool party for Roo and all the new puppy pals she made while in their playful care. Again off the charts in the love and devotion they posses which has impacted Roo and her new friends too.

Tamra and Dave are the supreme pet power team. They are true professionals and at the top of the field in this fun arena of house and pet sitting. It was so special to meet them a few times before the sit and I had to unexpectedly come back later because of work and because they are such pros they cushion their sits on either end in case of such circumstances. Yes, due to Covid restrictions at the boarders, David and Tamra has been dog sitting at our

This is the 4th sit that Tamra and David have done for us. We no longer consider them house/pet sitters; they are now great friends. We never have to worry about our house and pets when Tamra and David are there. They give our two Australian Shepherds lots of love and attention and take them on many excursions around the island. They are great communicators and keep us informed of how things are going. David is great at fixing things around the house, so we don’t have to worry if repairs are needed.....he’s right on top of them. In fact, he keeps our koi pond in great shape, and the water is crystal clear and the koi are super happy when we return. This is the third PERFECT sit of our home and pets by David and Tamra. Due to the Covid19 pandemic, travel was seriously impacted. We had an impromptu trip planned to California and were able to get Tamra and David on very short notice. They worked hard to arrange flights that would work for us. On top of all this craziness, they had to undergo a mandated two-week quarantine in Kauai upon arrival. They agreed to come early to undergo the quarantine while we were still here. They were worried that our dogs would not be able to be walked and exercised if they had to quarantine while we were gone. I have to say those two weeks we spent together were quite fun. We shared in meal prep and clean up; and every night, we'd have a movie night together. Tamra and David are so fun and easy going, we consider them family. We had a new puppy who was in the process of being obedience trained. They picked up on that and continued the training while we were gone. David loves poking around the property and took on some major projects for us (like climbing up on our two-story roof and cleaning the roof (due to the tropical environment in Kauai, roofs tend to get algae growth on them and have to be cleaned with a bleach solution every year or so). We also have a koi pond that requires regular maintenance and Dave kept the pond sparkling clean....even better than our twice-monthly service company. David and Tamra took the dogs on long excursions to beaches and various sites around the island. Our pup was initially skittish about getting into our vehicles, especially the Mini convertible. When we got home, we couldn't understand why the pup always wanted to go in the garage and we couldn't get him back in the house. It turns out, he wanted to get in the Mini for his daily convertible ride!! We came home to two clean cars, a spotless house, a delicious coconut cream pie in the fridge, and two very happy dogs! You cannot go wrong with Tamra and David!!

Another 5 star review for Tamra and Dave. From the start we felt we were leaving our place, and our pets, in safe hands. Communication throughout was good, we had a Skype chat beforehand. We had a handover and then we didn't hear from them unless there was a question or problem which is how we wanted it. One of our pups developed an illness while we were away. They spotted the behavior change and, when we were out of contact, took the initiative to have the vet check her over. When the pup was admitted for a couple of days Tamra and Dave visited her daily and sent us updates. What more could we ask for. We followed their facebook page and were treated to some beautiful pictures of our animals (taken with our prior permission) every day. Happy to recommend these guys and will use again.

Where do we begin to describe Tamra and David? They have sat for us before, and we became fast friends. This sit started out on a very sad note. After Tamra and David’s arrival a few days before the sit was to begin, we found out our five-year-old Aussie had lymphoma and had only days to live. Not only did Tamra and David immediately take over the care of our home, they comforted us and grieved right along with us. This made a tragic time a bit more bearable and gave us more time to spend with our young Aussie and say a proper goodbye. Tamra and David then gave our older Aussie tons of love and affection to ease his confusion over losing his brother. They took him everywhere with them, let him sleep with them at night, and snuggled with him every chance they got. David even played the guitar with Kai snuggled next to him.
They posted photos every day of their adventures with Kai so we were able to keep up with his activities.
We returned home to a very happy dog, sparkling koi pond, clean home and vehicles, and fresh-baked brownies.
Without hesitation, we highly recommend Tamra and David to anyone who needs home/pet sitting services. We will invite them back, again and again, to care for our home and pets.

Tamra & David are amazing, wonderful, reliable, honest, house and pet sitters extraordinaire.
That peace of mind that I have knowing my house is looked after and kitties cared for is such a blessing. Tamra and David are truly exceptional. They arrived with enough time to transition and read, with attention, all my house, plant and cat information. I was away for a month on a cruise and received emails with photos of the cats letting me know all was well. When I returned the house was totally spic and span. They made us dinner with brownies for dessert. Dave not only washed my car; he diagnosed the battery as the problem with it starting, accompanied me to get a new one and installed it for me. We are so glad that we found Tamra & David online as we were heading to France for 2 months and weren't sure about asking friends or relatives to care for our pets for such a long period of time. Tamra and David house/pet sat for us for two months over the 2016 holidays. Where do we begin to describe this amazing couple?! They were organized and efficient and asked lots of questions about our home and pets before we left. They communicated with us frequently and sent many photos of them and our two Aussies. The dogs got to go on many, many outings with Tamra and David and were spoiled by them. We felt completely comfortable leaving our home and pets in their capable care. I only got to meet Tamra and Dave via SKYPE several times before and after they came to sit for me for two months this year in Fiji. What a delightful couple. I most whole heartily recommend them to sit for you. They were very helpful to me in several ways.First, we had adopted several born in the wild kittens that's mother had been killed while they were still nursing and our sitters before Tamra and Dave had been raising them. Tamra and Dave contacted them before they left and got all the information on taking care of them. Then when they were sitting for me, I asked them if they would contact the vet and see if they were old enough to be neutered, and if so, would they take care of that. And they said yes and they transported the kittens to the vet, arranged their surgeries, took them back afterwards to remove the stitches and made sure that they were all healthy. They were very happy to do this of which I was very pleased. I know that they spent some of their own money to take care of the kittens and transportation costs that they gladly did without compensation. Second, when I had a very late term cancellation of the sitters after them, who were also coming for two months , Tamra immediately offered to help me advertise the vacancy on her own site as I was only advertising on housecarers.com . She immediately started to receive requests and answered them and without her assistance the cottage would have not been occupied for the vacant period. As it was, with her help, I was able to get a couple who could travel quickly from New Zealand to sit for us. I know she spent many hours helping me with this and probably didn't get to enjoy her last few days in Fiji as much as she would have liked. And of course, both Tamra and Dave interfaced very much with the local community, took immaculate care of the cottage and thoroughly enjoyed their stay. They plan to return to Fiji for and sit for us next year for four months and of course, I'm overjoyed at that. I know that they will love sitting for you and they will be perfect for you. David and Tamra were my second "set" of sitters for my house in Morocco, and I couldn't have been happier with my choice. Within days of arriving, I received an update on things that needed tending to and which I had not been informed of prior (to their arrival), as well as things which they, spontaneously, went ahead and mended. I communicated mostly with Tamra while David was the "tech man in the background", and as a couple I always found them wonderfully proactive, informative (always including photos), and they followed through on everything that needed to be done (not always easy in Morocco as it sometimes requires "diplomatic perseverance"). My sister had a chance to meet them and told me they were wonderful, open, interesting and interested not only in their responsibilities but also in the country and the culture around them. They got to know people locally, worked through the language barriers to converse with people as well as get information to/from workers, accepted the discomfort of having builders in for a few days when a flood occurred.... They were independent, with an open and accommodating attitude so much that, should the occasion arise, they would be more than welcome to come again. Tamra and David were our Farm Sitters from 5 March through to 23rd March, 2017.We have a small acreage in Far North Queensland, where we have approx 25 head of cattle, 25 chickens and one Swiss Shepard dog. Tamra and David had not done a Farm sit prior to this commitment, which they handled extremely well.
They spent 2 days with us before we left so that we could get them settle in and to make sure they were comfortable with the animals.The Chickens need to have eggs collected, and watered and fed.The Cattle needed to be moved around the paddocks especially when it rained.
Jedi, the dog just needed to be fed and watered, lots of attention and walks as well as. He was on some medication when Tamra and David arrived so they were very comfortable with administrating the medication. Jedi loved these guys!!!!
Both David and Tamra were very quick to understand our needs and how the deal with all the animals, where all the water points were for the cattle and chickens.We were extremely happy with how Tamra and David completed our Farm sit.Everything with the house was also well cared for and left as we expected, Tamra also made sure that there was something in the fridge for us to eat when we got home late on the 23rd March.I would love it if these guys can come back another time to do a Farm sit for us.

Unfortunately one of my kitties died of liver failure during their stay, they nursed her and dealt with the situation when the worst happened. It's difficult for an owner whilst not being in the country but I also felt for them having to deal with the situation, of course they were sad.

Not sure where to start about this AMAZING couple Tamra and David, who are truly THE perfect house-sitters. Clearly animal lovers (which was important to us) their years of experience of housesitting globally was evident from the start. We felt confident Stanley and Ginger were going to have lots of care and attention as was our home. We returned after our holiday to two very happy and content animals (we were clearly NOT missed!) and an immaculate house. This couple has been a lifesaver for us. We live overseas, and have adopted animals, so we need to travel sometimes. I could never put an appropriate value on Tamra and Dave's service, because it is priceless! If you travel and have pets, you understand the stress of leaving your house and loved ones in the care of someone else.
The entire time we were gone, we got updates, and photos, and felt completely comfortable with the care they provided for our home and our fur fam.
When we returned, the house was cleaner than we left it. The animals were happy and well cared for, and T & D even washed our car!

This is the second time Tamra and Dave have looked after my fur tribe and I would honestly have no one else! They are absolutely brilliant, the dogs and cats adore them and it makes my life so much easier as I do not have to explain everything again and again. They look after literally everything for you while you are on holiday, from paying bills, buying new toys for the fur tribe, cleaning the car and dogs (ha ha ha), DIY and much, much more. My animals are now in the state of pining for their wonderful kitty sitters.
Tamra and David have spent the last ten days looking after Seth, Ned, Stan and Ollie, four rescue cats that I’ve happily picked up from around the world. They all have their own scaredy-cat behaviours and need kind, understanding and calm people around them. Tamra and David are absolutely what the doctor ordered!
It was great to see regular updates of the boys being spoilt rotten and enjoying their keepers’ company, not to mention seeing Tamra and David enjoying oversized duck sunbathing on the pool and my home.
They had use of my car whilst they were here, and doubled up as airport transfer hosts as well, which worked really well. The car was re-filled with fuel and cleaned. Thank you!Initially, I was really wary with using people I’d never met before, but the references they had were excellent, one lady in particular was really helpful – it turned out that we had mutual connections, which put my mind at ease.

Tamra and David just spent the week with our British Bulldog Ollie in Koh Samui, Thailand while we went on a little vacation to Chaing Mai. I can't speak highly enough of the way they took care of Ollie. She is a dog with problems and needs medications daily and a little extra care, and they took care of it all. They played, bathed and loved her like their own. I was not worried about her one bit while we were away and they provided daily updates which allowed us to really enjoy our holiday. I recently joined THS and was surprised by the amount of response I received...it was a lot. I instantly liked Tamra and David by their previous reviews...and I was not disappointed. I was worried and reluctant to leave my dogs and cats for the first time ever to go on holiday but I should never have been. Tamra and David were the perfect pet and house sitters. They were extremely professional and very friendly. When I was on holiday I did not think about my fur tribe but received updated posts on FB from Tamra and David which was really very nice and reassuring. It was probably not the most easy sit as my dogs and cats do not get along with each other however Tamra and David did a great job of not letting anyone escape! They looked after the house, kept it clean and did the occasional DIY jobs whilst David entertained the dogs with his great guitar sounds. I would have no hesitation in recommending David and Tamra to look after your pets, they keep the animals happy, healthy and in their normal daily routine, which is exactly what you and your pets need. We were fortunate enough to have the wonderful Tamra and David looking after our property and our two cats while we were recently away getting married. We simply cannot recommend them highly enough and all I can say is, if you are thinking of engaging them to care for your home and/or pets, do it! Your property and your animals will be in the safest of hands.
We were kept updated with regular photos of our cats and never had to worry about them for an instant. We were able to relax and enjoy our time away and when we returned, it was to a spotlessly clean home (cleaner than when we left it we're sure!) and a wonderful surprise of chocolate brownies and fresh flowers! This was seriously going above and beyond.
We also don't know how they did it, but one of our cats has always been scared of people he doesn't know and tends to go into hiding in the closet - since spending time with David and Tamra, he has completely come out of his shell and is now quite comfortable with other people who visit.
We know exactly who we will use in future when we go away and need someone to care for our home and pets - we just hope David and Tamra will be available! We simply cannot thank them enough. Do not hesitate to engage this wonderful couple; they are simply the best! Thank you both so very much.

Tamra and David are simply the best! We have used them twice now and would not hesitate to use them again. Our home and our two cats were extremely well cared for while we were away. The house was spotless on our return and they had even cleaned the car and filled it with fuel.

Highly recommend David and Tamra. They did an amazing job looking after Angel my dog and Biscuit my cat. Normally my dog tolerates pet sitters and moves outside into the garden and ends up being bitten to death by insects but not this time. I received regular updates of Angel enjoying walks by the Mekong, hanging out in temples and watching sunsets from the local beer huts :) I came home to a very happy healthy looking dog.Meanwhile photos of Biscuit showed her exploring the garden in the mornings and relaxing in the evenings on the sofa watching TV with David. Tamra and David came for a short pet sit in Bangkok to look after our cat, Bangle. They were very thorough and and well organised before the stay, confirming the pet sit months beforehand. They sent a thorough questionnaire that informed them of all relevant details and asked of all questions that I wouldn't necessarily have thought of as a pet owner traveling; this was very helpful and instilled in me confidence before leaving that David and Tamra are very experienced and trustworthy! During the pet sit, they posted photos and updates to keep us informed of how our cat was which was helpful and fun to see! Our cat is very feisty and sassy (even as cats go!) and it was clear they had formed a good relationship with her and had been great with her. Upon return, Tamra and David were very courteous; they met us at our apartment, and it was lovely to chat with them and talk about their exciting lives. They were also very understanding that we were tired after a long trip - everything was in perfect condition and we felt like it was very easy to come back home. Thanks, David and Tamra!

Dave and Tamra were great housesitters. They kept in contact before and during our trip, posting lots of cute photos and videos on their facebook page so we could keep up to date as and when we pleased. Emails are always responded to very promptly. Upon arriving home our dog Tang had clearly been very well looked after as had the flat which was immaculate. Washing was done, bedding was changed etc, not always easy given the Hong Kong climate. They have also been really handy around the house and fixed our maiden, I'm sure they have done other bits and bobs that I am yet to see! We arrived home late and there was food in the fridge, this was amazing after a long day travelling! I would definitely recommend them and they would be welcome back here whenever they are available.

David and Tamra came to my Indian home for a three month assignment from end of March 2015 to end of September 2015. They arrived as planned, after some regular exchanges on skype . They looked after Bobby, our six month old puppy and pursued his training with love and attention. They looked after the pool, keeping it in good condition even during the monsoon. David attended to the garden, weeding, trimming and watering when necessary and Tamra saw to the house . David is an active person and a very handy guy when it comes to fixing things such as pumps and filters . Living in India one has to accept power cuts and their consequences on machinery. Fortunately David and Tamra had previous experience and were able to face difficulties inherent to the situation. They were friendly with the neighbours and joined in local gatherings. I have no hesitation in recommending this trustworthy couple for future assignments and will be happy to see them back in India in the future. And so will Bobby!

Great reliable, responsible, uncomplicated, organized and friendly House Sitters! We were very very happy to have Tamra and David as our housesitters for our B&B in Sri Lanka while we have been to Germany for 2 months. They have taken care of our house and animals very well. The house and garden were in very good condition when we came back and our pets (cats, dogs & chicken) were all healthy and happy. It was a very nice feeling to come back in our house and finding food stock in the kitchen and everything nicely cleaned up so that we felt very much welcomed back and "at home". During their housesit, we had no guests in our B&B but Tamra and David had to maintain the house which includes a lot of "everyday tasks". They also looked after our gardener and also the carpenter who came to our house to do a job. Even though the workers didn't speak any English they somehow managed to communicate. Security wise they also did a very great job. They wouldn't let anyone in the house and scared every stranger away ;-) Even though there were constantly people coming, making up stories. They kept a record of who came to the house and informed us about everything when we came back. Tamra and David were also very trustworthy with handling money, paying our bills and salary for the gardener. They have done a very accurate accounting sheet. In general, they are very organized and responsible and they didn't forget anything of what we have asked them to do. During the housesit, they always kept in touch and always answered any questions we had. It was very nice of them to also handle a cinnamon delivery for us, helping out when our German neighbour had trouble with his house and not only taking care of the B&B but also checking on our Permaculture Farm regularly as well. The whole 2 months we always had the feeling that our home was in good hands so we could truly relax and enjoy our time away from home. We are looking forward to having them as our housesitters next year again!
